Our Academies
Our academies and UTC have one goal: to improve the life chances of learners by providing a nurturing and truly exciting education where they can make great progress from their starting points.
Opening September 2028:
The plans for the Institute of Green Technologies and Health Sciences are progressing well.
Our aim is to address the critical skills gaps across South Yorkshire by developing the next generation of highly skilled employees for the region's growing industries.
Working in close partnership with the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University, we will create clear progression pathways from further education into higher education, apprenticeships, and high-value employment. Central to this approach is our collaboration with employers, who will play an active role in shaping and developing the curriculum. By co-designing programmes with industry, we will ensure that students develop the knowledge, technical expertise, and professional behaviours that employers need, making them work-ready and equipped to succeed from day one.
Through collaboration between education providers, employers, and regional partners, the Institute will support innovation, drive economic growth, and strengthen South Yorkshire's position as a national leader in green technologies and health sciences. Our ambition is not only to address today's skills shortages but to build a sustainable pipeline of talent that will meet the workforce needs of the future while supporting regional prosperity.
A world-class learning experience
Across our organisation, we share a common purpose; we aim to deliver a world-class learning experience for all our young people, giving real choice and differentiated learning experiences with work-based learning at the heart of the curriculum.
