Each school has a Local Governing Board which plays a crucial part of every school’s success.
They work in partnership with the leadership teams to define the vision, oversee the effective delivery of the improvement plans and have a critical role in ensuring strong performance and accountability.
As a charity and company limited by guarantee, the Brighter Futures Learning Partnership Trust Board ensures that all legal and statutory responsibilities are carried out. It has a duty to ensure that the Trust fulfils its overarching aims and objectives.
Making a Difference in Young Peoples' Lives
Being a governor is a hugely rewarding form of voluntary work and many of the skills developed are transferable to your professional life as well as making a difference to young people in our local communities.

All our governors have access to a high quality training programme and support to fulfil their role effectively. Although there is no requirement to have a particular skillset we are keen to appoint governors who have experience of finance, law and education.
You will be expected to attend four Board meetings each year and to sit on at least one committee.
